Who we are…
Stanford Canterbury is a community of students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters who are called to follow Jesus in an Episcopal way.
We are a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of California, although some of our students and supporters attend churches in the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real.
Our vision is to make visible an active Christian presence on the Stanford campus by providing a welcoming Episcopal ministry through sacrament, pastoral care, liturgy and nourishment.
The foundation sponsors a university chaplain, who acts as one of two Advisors to Episcopal Lutheran Campus Ministries (ELCM) at Stanford. ELCM meets 6pm Wednesdays at University Lutheran for our fellowship (Bread and Belonging), and 12:10 p.m. Thursdays for worship at Memorial Church.
